Linda S. Goodwin Retained as Medical Director for EMSI

Insurance Executive to Strengthen EMSI’s Leadership Position in Medical Underwriting

Examination Management Services, Inc. (EMSI) announces the appointment of Linda S. Goodwin, MD, FACP, as a medical director for EMSI’s underwriting department. Dr. Goodwin is board certified in both internal medicine and insurance medicine with a special certification in geriatric medicine. She has extensive experience in insurance underwriting having served as medical director for both United of Omaha and Transamerica Reinsurance.

Dr. Goodwin will provide valuable insights into a broad spectrum of medical issues for EMSI. As a member of the American Academy of Insurance Medicine, she will work closely with EMSI management and consultants to enhance EMSI’s underwriting methodology and to keep EMSI abreast of emerging medical research.

Dr. Goodwin authored the Underwriting Older Ages section of Brackenridge’s Medical Selection of Life Risk: Fifth Edition; long recognized as the leading reference book on insurance medicine.
