Life Insurance Finance Association Further Extends Membership
As part of its efforts to support the premium finance industry through effective regulations, legislation, industry best practices and educational events, the Life Insurance Finance Association (LIFA) has announced an expansion to its membership.
Currently open to premium finance lenders and insurance producers, LIFA’s membership is now extended to any organization assisting in premium finance business, such as life expectancy underwriters, legal counsel and other professionals.
“Our first year was so successful and was met with such a great demand for participation, we are extending the opportunity to join LIFA for the second time since inception,” said Scott J. Cipinko, executive director, LIFA. “We are in the midst of much change in the premium finance industry through activity by the NAIC and insurance legislators; it is up to LIFA and its members to work together to ensure the industry remains viable and profitable.”
According to Cipinko, membership opportunities available include a handful of founding member positions; a new category of voting membership positions for premium finance lenders and others supporting the industry; the newly-added, non-voting member position for non-lenders, such as insurance agencies and other professionals supporting the life insurance premium finance industry; and the previously created agent memberships, open to individual agents only.
Those who take advantage of the exclusive founding membership will receive lifetime recognition as a founding member, a complimentary registration for the voting member and a guest to the annual LIFA conference, conference speaking opportunities, a table in the foyer of the annual conference to promote the company, and company collateral inclusion in LIFA event handout packages.
