Invescor, National Underwriter Launch Online Life Settlement Training

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.

Program Offers CE Credit, Addresses Broker-Dealer Firm Element Requirements

To elevate life settlement knowledge and expertise nationwide, Invescor, Ltd., in partnership with the National Underwriter Company, has launched the most authoritative and comprehensive online life settlement training program in the country.

Jointly owned and developed by Invescor and National Underwriter, the online Life Settlement Tools & Techniques program eclipses other web-based continuing education (CE) programs in specificity, depth, and relevance to the marketplace.

Filed and approved for continuing education credits in 49 jurisdictions, Life Settlement Tools & Techniques is available in four courses that can be taken separately or together.

Life Settlement Tools & Techniques addresses IRS revenue rulings on life settlement taxation issued in May as well as FINRA Regulatory Notice 09-42 published in July that addresses variable life settlements. End-of-chapter quizzes, a glossary of life settlement terms, and an appendix of reference documents are additional enhancements.

Among the 38 states where life settlement regulations have been approved, four states require registered representatives/agents to prove they have completed life settlement training before they can obtain a life settlement license. Several states require some degree of continuing education to satisfy life settlement licensing requirements. Life Settlement Tools & Techniques can help registered representatives/agents in these states to meet these growing state-by-state requirements through the convenience of an online program.

“The life settlement marketplace is growing, regulations are multiplying, and the need for a trustworthy source of life settlement training has never been greater,” said Mike Leibowitz, President and CEO of Invescor. “The depth and breadth of the information presented in the Life Settlement Tools & Techniques program is unparalleled,” he added.

“The Tools & Techniques content authors, led by Stephen Leimberg, are highly knowledgeable, leading industry authorities with terrific subject matter credibility,” said Kevin Speed, National Underwriter’s Director of Training Products. “They have written numerous books and articles on financial planning, insurance concepts, and related issues,” he added.
