Ernst & Young Global Insurance Center Co-Sponsors Leading Industry Conferences; Property/Casualty and Life Industry Events Offer

Ernst & Young LLP today announced its Global Insurance Center will be the lead sponsor of the 2006 Annual Executive Conferences for the Insurance Industry that address “Managing Change” in the Property/Casualty and Life/Health sectors. The events are organized by The Conference Group, Ltd., a division of National Underwriter Company.

The Eighteenth Annual Executive Conference for the Property-Casualty Industry will be held Thursday, November 16 and Friday, November 17 at the Metropolitan Club in New York. Leading CEOs, regulators and industry analysts will discuss the major issues impacting the Property-Casualty sector with an audience of senior industry executives.

Issues on the agenda include catastrophe exposure, management and funding of cat risk; developments in the Bermuda market; the future of Lloyd’s; capital management and economic capital modeling; the impact of changing broker models; and the state of the market.

Speakers include Lord Peter Levene, Chairman, Lloyd’s of London; Edmund (Ted) F. Kelly, Chairman, President, and CEO, Liberty Mutual Group; Thomas J. The Seventeenth Annual Executive Conference for the Life Insurance Industry will be held on Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15 at the New York Metropolitan Club.
CEOs, CFOs and senior management will gather to discuss M&A activity, developments in the retirement income arena, capital management; securitization; and key legislative issues such as product suitability, life settlements and optional federal charter. There will also be an economic forecast for the industry, with differing views on current and future market conditions.
