2008 VBT Report & Tables Released Today
After much anticipation the SOA/AAA Valuation Basic Table Team, a subgroup of the Preferred Mortality POG, has completed their work on the 2008 VBT.
“This project has been under development for some time now and will have a significant impact on those involved in the longevity and mortality risk mitigation business” commented a source close to the project.
The VBT is used extensively by life insurance carriers and reinsurers to properly underwrite risk and has also played an instrumental role in the pricing models developed for the rapidly growing secondary life insurance market.
